Overview

The LTC2378IDE-20 is a low noise, low power, high speed 20-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADC‌. It uses a single 2.5V operating power supply with a fully differential input range of ±VREF, with VREF variations ranging from 2.5V to 5.1V. The LTC2378IDE-20 consumes only 21mW of power and achieves an integrated nonlinear (INL) maximum of ±2ppm with no code loss at 20 bits and a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 104dB‌.


The LTC2378IDE-20 features a high-speed SPI-compatible serial interface that supports 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V and 5V logic, as well as a Daisy chain mode. The high throughput rate and cycle-free delay of 1Msps make the LTC2378IDE-20 ideal for a wide range of high-speed applications. An internal oscillator is responsible for setting the conversion time, alleviating external timing considerations. The LTC2378IDE-20 automatically powers off between conversion operations, thereby reducing power consumption with the sampling rate.

Fully differential input range ‌ : Input range is ±VREF, LTC2378IDE-20 is suitable for a variety of signal processing requirements ‌.

Digital Gain compression (DGC) function ‌ : This function enables the LTC2378IDE-20 to maintain full resolution without a negative power supply and is suitable for applications where high accuracy and stability ‌.

Package mode: The LTC2378IDE-20 comes in a 4mm x 3mm DFN package.
