DS90UB933TRTVRQ1 Description:
The DS90UB933TRTVRQ1 device provides an FPD-Link III interface with a high-speed forward channel and a bidirectional control channel for data transmission over a single coaxial cable or differential pair.The DS90UB933-Q1 device includes differential signalling on both the high-speed forward channel and the bidirectional control channel data paths. The serialiser/deserialiser pair is primarily used for the connection of the imager to the video processor in the electronic control unit (ECU). The device is ideally suited to drive video data requiring up to 12-bit pixel depth, two sync signals, and a bidirectional control channel bus.
Texas Instruments' (TI) embedded clock technology enables transparent full-duplex communication on a single differential pair to carry asymmetric bi-directional control channel information. This single serial data stream simplifies wide data bus transfers on printed circuit board (PCB) traces and cables by eliminating deviations between parallel data and clock paths. This results in significant system cost savings by limiting the width of the data path, with corresponding reductions in PCB layers, cable width, and connector size and pin count. Internal DC balanced encoding/decoding is used to support AC-coupled interconnections.
