The AM5718AZBOXEM Sitara silicon processor is extremely flexible, enabling high processing performance in a fully integrated hybrid processor solution. It also combines programmable video processing capabilities with a highly integrated peripheral set. The device is designed to meet the strong demand for processing performance in modern embedded products. A single-core ARM Cortex-A15 RISC CPU with Neon™ expansion kit and a TI C66x VLIW floating-point DSP core provide programming capabilities. With the ARM processor, developers can separate the control functions from the vision algorithms programmed on the DSP and co-processor, reducing the complexity of the system software and complying with AEC-Q100 standards.
