The MAX9736 is a Class D amplifier that provides high performance, efficient heat dissipation amplifier solutions. The MAX9736A is capable of delivering 2 x 15W power for 8Ω loads and 1 x 30W power for 4Ω loads. The MAX9736B/D is capable of delivering 2 x 6W power for 8Ω loads and 1 x 12W power for 4Ω loads. These devices can operate from 8V to 28V and have a high PSRR without the need for a regulated power supply. The MAX9736 achieves 88% efficiency when powered by 12V.

Filterless modulation and conventional PWM modulation can be selected through the pin, and the filterless modulation structure allows the MAX9736 to pass CE EMI specification (1m transmission cable) with only one low-cost magnetic bead and capacitor per output. Traditional PWM modulation uses a complete LC filter to obtain the best audio characteristics.

Input operational amps allow users to build additive amplifiers, low-pass or high-pass filters, or set optimal gain.
