Overview

The AD9837ACPZ is a low-power, programmable waveform generator capable of producing sine, triangular and square wave outputs. Waveform generators are required for various types of detection, actuation, and time domain reflectometry (TDR) applications. The output frequency and phase can be programmed by software for easy adjustment. The frequency register is 28 bits: when the clock rate is 16 MHz, the AD9837ACPZ can achieve a resolution of 0.06 Hz; At a clock rate of 5 MHz, the AD9837ACPZ can achieve a resolution of 0.02 Hz.

The AD9837ACPZ writes data through a 3-wire serial interface. The serial interface is capable of operating at a clock rate of up to 40 MHz and is compatible with DSP and microcontroller standards. The AD9837ACPZ is powered by a 2.3V to 5.5V power supply.

The AD9837ACPZ has a SLEEP function. Unused parts of the device can be turned off to reduce power consumption to a low level. For example, the DAC can be turned off when producing clock output.
