Instructions

The AD2S1210WDSTZ is a 10-bit to 16-bit resolution rotary digitizer with integrated on-chip programmable sine wave oscillator that provides sine wave excitation for the rotary converter.


The AD2S1210WDSTZ converter's sine and cosine inputs allow for 3.15V p-p ± 27% signals in the frequency range 2 kHz to 20 kHz. The Type II servo loop is used to track the input signal and convert the information on the sine and cosine inputs into the numerical quantities corresponding to the input Angle and speed. The AD2S1210WDSTZ has a maximum tracking rate of 3125 rps.


The AD2S1210WDSTZ and AD2S1210WDSTZRL7 models have been approved by independent certification bodies for automotive safety Integrity Level B applications in compliance with ISO 26262 standards.


Product features

1, ratio tracking conversion: The Type II tracking loop can continuously output position data without conversion delay. It also suppresses noise and provides tolerance for harmonic distortion of reference and input signals.

2, system fault detection: the fault detection circuit can detect rotating signal loss, out-of-range input signal, input signal mismatch or position tracking loss. Each fault detection threshold can be individually programmed by the user to optimize for a specific application.

3, input signal range: sine and cosine input support 3.15V p-p ± 27% differential input voltage.

4, programmable excitation frequency: AD2S1210WDSTZ can easily set the excitation frequency to a number of standard frequencies in the range of 2 kHz to 20 kHz.

5. Position data in 3 formats: 10-16 bit absolute angular position data can be accessed through 16-bit parallel port or 4-line serial interface. Incremental encoder simulation is in standard A-quad-B format and provides directional output.

6, digital speed output: through the 16-bit parallel port or 4-line serial interface can access 10-16-bit signed digital speed.


The AD2S1210WDSTZ has the following features:

Application scenario

3. ‌ CNC machine tool and servo motor control ‌ : convert the sine and cosine signal of the rotating transformer into a high-resolution digital quantity (16-bit accuracy). The AD2S1210WDSTZ supports closed-loop position control with an error of <0.01°‌.

4, ‌ valve and manipulator control ‌ : through SPI or parallel interface communication with PLC/FPGA, AD2S1210WDSTZ to achieve high dynamic response of industrial equipment (maximum tracking rate 3125 rps) ‌.
