Overview
The AD9116BCPZ is a dual-channel, low-power, 12-bit TxDAC digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices. The AD9116BCPZ is designed for high-speed, high-precision signal generation scenarios.
The AD9116BCPZ provides excellent AC and DC performance and supports update rates of up to 125 MSPS. In addition, the AD9116BCPZ has a flexible supply voltage range (1.8V to 3.3V) and low power characteristics, making it ideal for portable and low power applications.
The AD9116BCPZ device is available in a small 40-pin LFCSP package and is RoHS compliant.

1.8V to 3.3V single power supply; Total power consumption is reduced to 225 mW at 100 MSPS. Low power idle period can enter the sleep mode and power saving mode.

Application scenario
1. 5G base station and wireless communication : AD9116BCPZ is used to generate intermediate frequency/RF signal , which supports transmission path optimization of the communication system and realizes high dynamic range modulation (such as QPSK and 16-QAM) .
2. Satellite communication and microwave transmission : in the satellite ground station, the AD9116BCPZ converts the baseband digital signal into analog signal, and expands to the microwave frequency band with the up-converter, supporting the modulation requirements of low-orbit satellite broadband communication .
3, industrial automation and control system: through SPI or parallel interface and controller (such as FPGA) connection, AD9116BCPZ will digital instructions into analog control signals (such as voltage/current output), drive motor, valves and other actuator .

6. Vector signal generator (VSG) : As the core DAC of the test instrument, the AD9116BCPZ generates complex modulated waveform (such as 5G NR signal) and supports the RF parameter verification of EVM <0.5% .
