On 19 February, Littelfuse, a diversified industrial technology manufacturing company, announced the launch of the TPSMB-L series of automotive-grade TVS (transient voltage suppression) diodes designed for battery management systems (BMS) in 800 V electric vehicles (EVs), according to a foreign media report. These innovative diodes feature industry-leading ultra-low clamp voltage (Vcl) to provide superior protection for sensitive components such as analogue front ends (AFEs) and battery management integrated circuits (BMICs).

The TPSMB-L series addresses the growing need for reliable, high-performance components in the EV market. With a focus on safety and reliability, these diodes meet the stringent requirements of ISO-26262, the international standard for functional safety of automotive systems, ensuring optimal performance in critical BMS applications.
