Overview:
The OPT8320NBPL sensor is part of the TI 3D ToF image sensor family. The device is a high-performance, highly integrated complete system-on-chip (SoC) for array depth sensing. It includes a multi-function timing generator (TG), an optimally designed analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a depth engine, and a lighting driver. The programmability of this built-in TG is very flexible and can be optimized for a variety of depth sensing performance metrics such as power, motion stability, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and environmental cancellation.
The OPT8320 has a built-in depth engine that calculates depth data from digitized sensor data. In addition to phase data, the depth engine also provides auxiliary information, including amplitude, environment, marking of each pixel, and full array statistics in the form of histograms.
