The SPC584Cx and SPC58ECx microcontrollers are the first of a new family of devices replacing the SPC564Cx and SPC56ECx families. The SPC584Cx and SPC58ECx build on the SPC564Cx and SPC56ECx families while introducing new features and higher throughput, resulting in a significant reduction in cost per feature, a significant increases in power and performance (MIPS per milliwatt). On the SPC584Cx and SPC58ECx devices, there are two processor cores, the e200z420, and an e200z0 core with an embedded hardware security module.
