At the beginning of 2023, the AR technology circle is full of new news. 27 February at the MWC conference, Xiaomi released the 13 series and robot, and then released the Xiaomi Wireless AR Glasses Explorer Edition. 6 March afternoon at the Honor Magic5 series and full-scene new product launch, Honor also launched a movie viewing glasses jointly developed with AR brand Nreal. Apple's AR glasses have been attracting global attention with each "jump".


On 12 March, the Financial Times wrote that Apple's CEO had given his operations and design teams the latest directive to launch a new VR/AR headset within the year. According to the report, Apple's operations team wanted to launch a technologically advanced device straight away, even if it wasn't as light as "ski glasses", but Apple's famous industrial design team wanted to wait until the technology was mature before launching thinner and lighter AR glasses. He ultimately chose to support the operations team and overruled the objections of Apple's designers, finalising the launch of the first AR/VR product this year. The report also said that while the success or failure of this AR/VR headset could have a huge impact on his reputation as a solid leader, and Apple's ability to continue to innovate, the top brass did not mind the bleak initial sales.


With all the rain coming down from the mountains, this year's AR industry seems to be on the eve of Apple's iPhone release in 2007.
