Product Description

The ADSP-BF608KBCZ-5‌ is a high-performance Blackfin processor from ADI with outstanding processing power, rich peripheral interfaces, and efficient power consumption ratio. This processor uses advanced power management technology to adjust the frequency and voltage of the processor according to actual needs for low power operation, and is particularly suitable for battery-powered applications such as portable devices and wearable devices ‌.


The ADSP-BF608KBCZ-5 processor has the following main features:

It features two Blackfin cores with a maximum operating frequency of 500 MHz/1000 MMAC (totaling 2000 MMAC), making it suitable for demanding signal processing applications.

The 552 KB on-chip SRAM consists of 148kB L1 SRAM per core that supports parity check and a shared 256kB L2 SRAM that supports ECC.

Pipeline Vision Processor (PVP), supporting VGA.

Pixel synthesizer.

Fully integrated DMA controller, supporting DMA transfer with all on-chip and off-chip memories and peripherals.

3x Enhanced Serial Peripheral Interface (ePPI), supporting up to 24-bit data width and ITU-R BT.656 mode, can be directly connected to TFT LCD panels, serial converters, video encoders and decoders, image sensors, and other general-purpose peripherals.
