The ExpressLane™ PEX8747-CA80FBCG is a 48-channel, 18-port PCIe Gen 3 switching device developed using 40nm technology for data centres, networking equipment, storage systems and embedded applications.

The PEX8747-CA80FBCG provides multi-host PCI Express switching capabilities, enabling users to connect multiple hosts to their respective endpoints via a scalable, high-bandwidth, non-blocking interconnect for a wide range of applications including servers, storage, communications and graphics platforms. In addition to the high port count, the device offers an on-chip DMA engine, two NT ports and clock isolation. With backward compatibility, when designing with PCIe Gen3 switches in mixed (Gen1, Gen2, and Gen3) systems, designers can make their designs fully Gen3-enabled when migrating to the next generation of endpoints.
