In addition to channels and ports, the device provides an NT port and clock isolation. Because of backward compatibility, when designing with PCIe Gen3 switches in hybrid (Gen1, Gen2, and Gen3) systems, designers can make their designs fully Gen3-enabled when migrating to next-generation endpoints. the PEX8714 is ideally suited for fan-out, aggregation, and point-to-point traffic patterns. the PEX8714 also includes PLX's proprietary visionPAK debugging software. visionPAK debug software, which accelerates time-to-market by allowing the internal receive eye to be observed after equalisation and access to the device's internal debug registers.
