The Allegro™ ACS770ECB-200B-PFF-T current sensor IC provides an economical and accurate solution for AC or DC current sensing. Typical applications include motor control, load sensing and management, power supply and DC-DC converter control, inverter control and overcurrent fault detection.

The device consists of a precision, low offset linear Hall circuit with a copper conduction path located near the chip. The applied current flowing through this copper conduction path generates a magnetic field which is concentrated by a low hysteresis core and then converted into a proportional voltage by the Hall integrated circuit. The accuracy of the device is optimised by the proximity of the magnetic signal to the Hall sensor. An accurate proportional output voltage is provided by a low offset, chopper stabilised BiCMOS Hall IC which is factory programmed for accuracy. Proprietary digital temperature compensation technology greatly improves the accuracy and temperature stability of the IC without compromising the high bandwidth operation of the analogue output.
