The ADSP-21487KSWZ-2B is a fourth-generation SHARC® processor with improved performance, hardware-based filter accelerators, audio and application-specific peripherals, and a new memory configuration that supports the latest surround sound decoder algorithms. All devices are pin-compatible with each other and are fully code compatible with all previous SHARC processors. These latest members of the fourth-generation SHARC processor family are based on a single instruction Multiple Data (SIMD) core that supports 32-bit fixed-point and 32/40-bit floating-point algorithm formats, making them ideal for high-performance audio applications.
