TI's new TMS320DM368ZCE48 DaVinci™ video processor delivers crisp, multi-format video up to 1080p H.264 30fps (encoding and closed-loop decoding) in its digital video designs without having to worry about video format support, limited network bandwidth, limited system storage capacity or cost.

The DM368 enables 1080p 30fps H.264 HD video processing and is fully pin-compatible with the DM365 processor, using the same ARM926EJ-S core running at 432 MHz. The ARM9-based DM368 supports production-standard H.264BP/MP/HP, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MJPEG and VGA standards. 2, MJPEG and VC1/WMV9 codecs, giving customers the flexibility to choose the right video codec for their application. These codecs run on separate coprocessors (HDVICP and MJCP), offloading all compression requirements from the host ARM core. This allows developers to get the best performance from ARM for their applications, including multi-channel, multi-stream and multi-format requirements.
