The CY15V116QSN-108BKXQ IS A HIGH-PERFORMANCE 16-Mb NON-VOLATILE MEMORY using an advanced ferroelectric process. Ferroelectric random access memory, or F-RAM, is non-volatile and reads and writes like RAM. It provides 151 years of reliable data retention while eliminating the complexity, overhead, and system-level reliability issues associated with serial flash and other non-volatile memories.

The CY15x116QSN enhances the non-volatile write capability of F-RAM technology by combining 16-Mb F-RAM with high-speed quad SPI (QPI) SDR and DDR interfaces. The device incorporates read-only device ID and unique ID functionality that allows the SPI bus master to determine the manufacturer, product density, product revision, and unique ID of each part.The device also provides a read-only unique serial number that can be used to identify a board or system.
