VD6281TF46/1 An innovative full-colour ambient light sensor (ALS) helps smartphones take better photos and present more intuitive and accurate data on the on-screen display. By simultaneously providing information on the scene's colour temperature, ultraviolet (UVA) radiation levels and illumination frequency, the VD6281 allows the camera to correct white balance and enhance colour expression, as well as set the appropriate exposure time for the camera to avoid flickering artefacts and eliminate streaks in pictures and videos, especially in scenes illuminated with modern LED light sources.

ST's VD6281 module is simple to use (6-pin), I2C-based and comes with a turnkey software driver compatible with the Android platform for fast and easy integration. The module package is reflow solderable, lead-free and RoHS compliant.
