The TMP117AIDRVR is a high accuracy digital temperature sensor. Designed to meet ASTM E1112 and ISO 80601 requirements for medical electronic thermometers, the TMP117 provides 16-bit temperature results with a resolution of 0.0078°C and an accuracy of up to ±0.1°C over the temperature range of -20°C to 50°C without calibration. The TMP117 has an I2C and SMBus™ compatible interface with programmable alarms. With programmable alarms, the TMP117 supports up to four devices on a single bus and includes an integrated EEPROM for device programming and an additional 48 bits of memory for general-purpose applications.

The TMP117 offers low power consumption to minimise the impact of self-generated heat on measurement accuracy, and operates over a voltage range of 1.7V to 5.5V with a typical current of 3.5µA.
