The MLX92291LSE-AAA-204-SP is an ultra-high sensitivity Hall effect latch that operates from 1.6 V to 3.6 V. The output is of the "push-pull" type, which requires no external pull-up resistor for operation, thus reducing the number of PCB components. The device is intended for battery-powered applications. Like the well-known Melexis Hall-effect all-pole switches, a wake-up/sleep strategy is used, which reduces power consumption compared to standard Hall-effect latching sensors. The device periodically evaluates the magnetic flux density against a predefined threshold. If the flux density is above/below the BOP/BRP threshold, the output switches its state accordingly.
