The LT3048EDC-5 generates low noise, low ripple bias supplies over a 2.7V to 4.8V input voltage range. It includes a boost regulator and an LDO linear regulator. The boost regulator supplies power to the linear regulator. The output voltage of the boost regulator is regulated to 1.1V above the LDO output to optimise LDO ripple rejection and transient response. Fixed frequency operation and current mode control allow the use of very small inductors for low, predictable output ripple. High supply ripple rejection combined with a low-noise internal reference results in output ripple of less than 500µVP-P output ripple and noise. Available in an 8-lead 2mm × 2mm DFN package.
