The QPX0002SR is a compact wideband I/Q GaAs mixer in a 4 x 4 mm air cavity surface mount plastic package. Operating from 2.5 to 15 GHz bandwidth, it can be configured as an image reject mixer, a single-sideband upstream mixer, a single-sideband downstream mixer, and a single-sideband upstream mixer. Two dual balanced mixer units and the MMIC's internal 90⁰ mixer are used. Requires an external 90⁰ IF mixer for image rejection or sideband rejection. Smaller size alternative to more costly hybrid I/Q mixers and single-sideband upconverters.
