The ACS72981LLRATR-100U5 current sensor IC provides a cost-effective, accurate solution for AC or DC current detection. 250 kHz bandwidth makes it ideal for motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-DC converter control, and inverter control. The response time is less than 2 µs for overcurrent fault detection in safety-critical applications. The device consists of a precision, low offset linear Hall circuit. The circuit, with its copper conduction path located near the chip, generates a magnetic field from the applied current flowing through the copper conduction path, which is converted to a proportional voltage by the Hall integrated circuit.
