The ACS724LLCTR-20AB-T current sensor ICs are cost-effective and accurate solutions for AC or DC current detection in industrial, automotive, consumer, and communication systems. They are available in a variety of compact packages with high levels of integration for a wide range of application requirements. These devices consist of precision, low offset, linear Hall sensor circuitry with a copper conduction path located near the chip surface. An applied current flowing through the copper conduction path generates a magnetic field that is sensed by the integrated Hall IC and converted to a proportional voltage. Differential sensing of the current is used to suppress stray magnetic fields, thereby improving accuracy in magnetically noisy environments. Due to their internal structure, the current conductors are intrinsically isolated from the device signal leads, which results in high isolation voltage ratings for the various packages. All of these devices have extremely low ohmic losses down to 265 µΩ.
The ACS724LLCTR-20AB-T devices are small, low profile surface mount SOIC8 (LC). The leadframes are plated with 100% matte tin and are compatible with standard lead-free printed circuit board assembly processes.
