The LTM8053IY is a 40VIN, 3.5A continuous current, 6A peak step-down µModule® (power module) regulator. The package contains the switching controller, power switch, inductor, and all supporting components. With an input voltage range of 3.4V to 40V, the LTM8053 supports an output voltage range of 0.97V to 15V and a switching frequency range of 200 kHz to 3MHz, each set by a single resistor. Only input and output filter capacitors are required to complete the design.

The low-profile package allows for high density points for load regulation by utilising unused space on the bottom of the PC board.The LTM8053 is available in a thermally-enhanced, compact injection-moulded Ball Grid Array (BGA) package suitable for automated assembly using standard surface mount equipment.The LTM8053 is RoHS compliant.
