The Cypress CY14V101QS-SE108XI combines a 1-Mbit nvSRAM with a QPI interface that allows memory to be written to and read from in a single-channel (one I/O channel, one bit per clock cycle), dual-channel (two I/O channels, two bits per clock cycle), or quad-channel (four I/O channels, four bits per clock cycle) fashion, using a selected opcode. Memory is written and read in a 128K byte format.

The memory is 128K bytes, each consisting of SRAM and a non-volatile SONOS quantum capture cell.The SRAM provides unlimited read and write cycles, while the non-volatile cell provides highly reliable data storage. At power down, data is automatically transferred from the SRAM to the non-volatile cell (store operation). At power-on, data is restored from the nonvolatile cell to the SRAM (RECALL operation). You can also initiate STORE and RECALL operations with the SPI instruction.
