The TMAG5231C1GQDMRR low-power Hall-effect switch is designed to reduce total system cost in compact battery-powered consumer and industrial applications. The device outputs a low voltage when the applied magnetic flux density exceeds the operating point (BOP) threshold. The output remains low until the flux density drops below the release point (BRP), after which the device outputs a high voltage. The omnipolar magnetic response allows the output to be sensitive to both north and south magnetic fields.
The TMAG5231C1GQDMRR is capable of operating at very low current consumption. To achieve a current consumption of 2µA, the device is internally powered up and down at 20Hz. The device operates over a VCC range of 1.65V to 5.5V and over an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
