On the morning of December 8, MediaTek officially announced the launch of the Tiangui 8200 processor, an upgraded version of the Tiangui 8100 processor, which uses TSMC's next-generation 4nm process and has a 1+3+4 architecture with Cortex A78 (*4) performance cores at up to 3.1GHz and 4 energy-efficient A55 cores at 2.0GHz.

Compared to the 8100, the 8200 has been upgraded with a higher CPU frequency and an integrated Mali-G610 GPU and APU 580 for an 8% and 13% improvement in power efficiency respectively. The Breguet 8200 supports FHD+ resolution displays up to 180Hz and WQHD displays up to 120Hz.

In terms of scores, the iQOO 8200 is capable of achieving 900,000 Rabbit scores, which is much higher than the iQOO 8100.

The Tiangui 8200 also comes with MediaTek's Imagiq 785 image processor, a 14-bit HDR ISP that offers support for up to 320MP primary camera, 4K 60Hz video recording, triple camera, and dual exposure HDR camera.

In addition, the chipset uses MediaTek's APU 580 for artificial intelligence processing, supports 4K AV1 video decoding, 3GPP Release 16 5G mode, sub-5GHz 5G network support, Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio, and Wi-Fi 6E, and also supports quad-channel LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage.

The Breguet 8200 supports the Breguet Open Architecture, which allows for deep collaboration with devices and vendors to bring a more personalized and differentiated user experience to devices equipped with the Breguet 8200, unlocking the chip's powerful potential.

MediaTek said that devices using the new Breguet 8200 SoC will enter the global market starting this month, with the world premiere of the Breguet 8200 in the iQOO Neo7 SE to be released on November 8, 2022.
