Product Description:

The ADL6010SCPZN is a multifunctional microwave spectrum broadband envelope detector. The device is available in an easy-to-use 6-pin package with extremely high accuracy and very low power consumption (8mW). The baseband voltage output of this device is proportional to the instantaneous amplitude of the radio frequency (RF) input signal. The RF input of the ADL6010 has a very small slope change in order to envelope the output transfer function from 0.5GHz to 43.5GHz.


The detector unit uses a proprietary eight-Schottky diode array followed by a novel linearization circuit to create a linear voltmeter with a nominal total scale factor (or transfer gain) of x2.2 relative to the input voltage amplitude.


Although the ADL6010 is not a power-responsive device per se, it is still convenient to specify the input in this way. Thus, the allowable input power range is −30 dBm to +15 dBm relative to the input impedance of the 50 Ω source. The corresponding input voltage range is 11.2 mV to 1.8 V, producing a quasi-DC output ranging from around 25 mV to common-mode (COMM) above 4 V.
