Huawei Completes New Verification of 5G Millimeter Wave Independent Networking

The IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group of the China Institute of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) has officially learned that Huawei has completed the 5G millimeter wave independent group network under the field performance test project.

On November 14, it was learned from the official information of IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group of the Chinese Academy of Information and Communications that Huawei has completed the outfield performance test project under 5G millimeter wave independent networking. Under the DDDSU frame structure, the single user downlink peak rate exceeds 7.2Gbps, and under the DSUUU frame structure, the single user uplink peak rate exceeds 2.2Gbps.

In the functional test, Huawei completed the test projects of flexible frame structure with different slot ratios (DDDSU and DSUUU) under independent networking (SA, Stand Alone), CA (Carrier Aggregation) in the 4 * 200MHz downlink and 2 * 200MHz uplink band of millimeter wave.


It is reported that in the field single user throughput performance test, the test result is close to the theoretical peak. DDDSU frame structure is adopted, and the millimeter wave single user downlink peak rate is greater than 7.2Gbps; With the DSUUU frame structure, the millimeter wave single user uplink peak rate is greater than 2.2Gbps. Technological innovation will enable the rapid development of future 5.5G uplink ultra wideband services, such as machine vision, high-definition video return and other large uplink services.
