The Qualcomm QCS8250 is a commercial SoC processor designed for AloT scenarios, integrating a high-performance Kryo 585 CPU, an Adreno 650 GPU, a discrete NPU, and a DPU processor, making it ideal for compute-intensive camera and AI-at-the-edge application development, as well as support for Wi-Fi 6 and 5G data transmission for the Internet of Things (IoT). The QCS8250 provides a powerful Image Signal Processor (ISP) that supports up to 7 AI cameras running simultaneously or up to 24 video streaming cameras. With support for up to 8K video encoding/decoding and up to 64 megapixel photo and video capture, the QCS8250 delivers outstanding HD video encoding performance, with support for up to three 4K displays with heterodyne display, as well as intelligent zoom in and zoom out. The QCS8250 has a built-in AI compute accelerator that provides up to 15 TOPS of computing power, which is more than enough to support edge computing. The QCS8250 supports a wide range of wired and wireless connectivity options, including 5G, WiFi6, and Bluetooth 5.1, for a variety of enterprise and commercial IoT applications. Popular cloud platforms with distributed AI model use cases are also supported.
