Product Overview:
The STA5635S is a fully integrated RF front end capable of supporting different frequency bands (L1/E1, L2C, L5/E5/E6) thanks to a programmable and flexible RF-IF chain driven by fractional PLL. In particular, STA5635S is capable of managing all future available and planned GNSS constellations such as GPS, Galileo, Glonass, Beidou, IRNSS and QZSS.
Behind the RF_IF chain is a 2-bit ADC that converts the IF signal into Sign (Sign) and Magnitude (MAG) bits. The MAG bits are integrated internally to control the variable gain amplifier. VGA gain can also be set via the SPI interface.
Embedded fractional PLL allows support for a wide range of reference clocks (10 to 55MHz) and generates a sampling clock that can be used for baseband.
The STA5635S is embedded with two Ldos to power the analog and digital core of the device at a voltage of 1.1 volts, thus meeting the requirements of external power supplies. The third LDO can be switched on to provide a 1.8V external active element as a TCXO.
The chip is manufactured using CMOS040nm technology and packaged in a QFN package.
