The TMS320DM357ZWT is a digital media system-on-chip (DMSoC) product based on DaVinciTM technology.

Overview:

The TMS320DM357(also known as DM357) uses Tl's DaVinciTM technology to meet the needs of network media encoding and decoding applications for next generation embedded devices.

With the maximum flexibility of a fully integrated hybrid processor solution, the DM357 enables Oems and ODMs to quickly bring devices to market with powerful operating system support, rich user interfaces, high processing performance, and long battery life.

The ARM926EJ-S is a 32-bit RISC processor core that can execute 32-bit or 16-bit instructions and process 32-bit, 16-bit, or 8-bit data. The kernel uses pipelining technology so that all parts of the processor and memory system can run continuously.

The DM357 device includes a video processing subsystem (VPSS) with two built-in configurable video/imaging peripherals: a video processing front end (VPFE) input for video capture and a video processing back end (VPBE) output for displaying video images.
