Overview

The MAX86181ENO is an ultra-low power optical data acquisition system with transmit and receive channels. At the transmitter end, the MAX86181 has two high-current 8-bit programmable LED drivers. The MAX86181 can drive up to 24 leds. At the receiver end, the MAX86181 features four low-noise charge-integrated front ends, each including a separate 20-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and best-in-class ambient light cancellation (ALC) circuits, making for the highest performing integrated optical data acquisition system on the market today.


Due to its low power consumption, compact size, ease of use and flexibility, the MAX86181 is ideal for a variety of optical sensing applications, such as pulse oxygen saturation and heart rate detection.


The MAX86181 integrates two Ldos and can be powered by a single 3.3V supply. The device supports I2C and SPI-compatible interfaces in a fully autonomous manner. The device has a large 1024-word built-in FIFO.
