The ADMV1228BBCZ is a 24.0 GHz to 29.5 GHz, mmW 5G dual-channel up-converter, dual-channel down-converter and beamformers integrated on a single chip. The RF integrated circuit (RFIC), in a 2x8 configuration, integrates two transmit/receive streams (2T2R) and 16 separate TX and RX beamforming channels to support both single - and dual-polarized array designs.


The on-chip transmit-receive switch connects each polarized upconverter RF output and downconverter RF input to eight separate channels via a 1:8 power splitter/synthesizer.

Sideband suppression and carrier feedthrough optimization

Envelope detector for LO feed-through calibration

Single channel power detector

Down-conversion mode

Integrated single RX channel overload detection circuit

The 3-wire or 4-wire SPI supports SPI clock speeds up to 133 MHz
