MediaTek officially launches its mid-range 5G mobile platform, the Tiangui 1080.

On October 11, MediaTek officially announced its mid-range 5G mobile platform, the Tiangui 1080, which is designed with TSMC's 6nm process and an octa-core CPU architecture, including two large Arm Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6GHz, six Arm Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz -A55 cores and an Arm Mali-G68 GPU, providing a smoother experience in applications such as gaming, streaming media playback and web browsing.
