The LT8609AJDDM is a compact, efficient, and high-speed synchronous monolithic step-down switching regulator that consumes only 1.7µV of non-switching static current when output is stabilized at 5V. The LT8609A can deliver 3A continuous current. Burst-mode operation enables highly efficient, very low output currents while keeping the output ripple below 10mVP-P. The SYNC pin allows for synchronization with an external clock, or the use of spread frequency modulation in reduced EMI operations. Internal compensation with peak current mode topology allows the use of smaller inductors, resulting in fast transient response and good loop stability. The EN/UV pin has an accurate 1V threshold and can be used to program the VIN UVLO or turn off the part. The capacitor on the TR/SS pin can set the slope of the output voltage during startup, and the PG will signal when the VOUT on the adjustable output part is within ± 8.5%, or when the fixed output part and fault condition of the programmable output voltage are within ± 7.5%. The LT8609A has a slower switching chip terminal to reduce EMI radiation.
