The BCM54501BIQLEG device is Broadcom's first fully integrated BroadR-Reach® multilayer switch to support industrial networking applications.


Description:

The Broadcom® BCM54501 device is Broadcom's first fully integrated BroadR-Reach® multilayer switch to support industrial networking applications. The BCM54501 is the best solution for critical industrial designs with high performance but challenging low power requirements. Based on the industry-leading 65-nm architecture, the BCM54501 supports multiple intuitive low-power modes as well as cable diagnostics. The BCM54501 can be interlinked with other devices through a variety of interfaces, enabling scalable high-performance systems including RGMII, SGMII, GMII, MII and Reverse MII.


The BCM54501 supports four integrated BroadR-Reach PHYs, one integrated BroadR-Reach / 100TX PHY, and two uplink ports. The BCM54501 is available in a 176-pin LQFP package for the industrial temperature range (-40 °C to + 85°C).
