Overview:

The STPMIC1BPQR is a fully integrated power management IC designed specifically for products based on highly integrated application processor designs that meet their low power consumption and high efficiency requirements. The device integrates advanced low-power features and can be controlled by the host processor via the I²C and IO interfaces.

STPMIC1 regulators are designed to power application processors as well as external system peripherals such as DDR, Flash memory, and other system devices. The boost converter can power up to 3 USB ports (two 500 mA host USBs and one 100 mA USB OTG). The converter uses an advanced bypass architecture to smoothly adjust the VBUS of the USB port from the battery as well as a low-cost consumer 5 V AC-DC adapter.

Four step-down SMPS are optimized for a smooth transition from PFM to PWM in low-power mode, as well as advanced PWM synchronization technology with integrated PLL for better noise resistance (EMI performance), resulting in excellent transient response and output voltage accuracy under more relaxed operating conditions, as well as high full-range efficiency (η up to 90%).

5.2 V / 1.1 A boost SMPS with bypass mode with 5 V input or battery input

1 500 MA power switch, compliant with USB OTG standard

1 500 mA/1000 mA universal power switch

User-programmable non-volatile memory (NVM) that supports extension to interconnect with a variety of applications
