Description:

Broadcom ACPL-C797T-000E is an optically isolated, 1-bit, 2-order Sigma-Delta (Σ-Δ) modulator device that complies with AEC-Q100 Class 1 automotive certification standards. Based on optical coupling technology, the device converts analog input signals into high-speed data streams through current isolation. The device is powered by a 5V supply and has a dynamic range of 79 dB. The 200 mV differential input range (full scale 320 mV) is ideal for directly connecting shunt resistors or other low-level signal sources in applications such as motor phase current measurement.

The device comes in a compact surface-mount stretch SO-8 package that provides motor drive designers with the reliability, small size, excellent isolation and stability across the automotive temperature range they need to accurately measure current. Broadcom Coupler isolation products provide the enhanced insulation and reliability required for critical automotive and high-temperature industrial applications.
