The DS280MB810 is an ultra-low-power, high-performance eight-channel linear equalizer that supports multi-rate, multi-protocol interfaces with data transfer rates up to 28Gbaud NRZ. The device can be used to extend the length range and improve the robustness of high-speed serial links for backplane, front port and inter-chip applications.

The DS280MB810 features a full 2x2 crossover switch between each pair of adjacent channels, supporting 2-to-1 multiplexing and 1-to-2 demultiplexing applications, fail-over redundancy, and signal crossover that facilitates PCB routing. Intersections can be controlled via pins or SMBus register interfaces.

The combination of the DS280MB810's small package size, optimized high-speed signal exit and pin-compatible retimer makes it ideal for high-density backplane applications. With simplified equalization control, low power consumption and ultra-low additional jitter, the device is suitable for front-end interfaces such as 100G-SR4/LR4/CR4. The 8mm x 13mm compact package is suitable for a wide range of standard front port connectors such as QSFP, SFP, CFP and CDFP, and requires no heat sink.
