Overview

The ASL2507SHN is a two-phase boost converter IC with limping home mode. It provides an SPI interface for extensive control and diagnostic communication with external MCUS and integrates a customer-programmable limping home mode. When communication with the MCU's SPI fails, the driver IC allows configurable operations in emergency mode. Once a loss of SPI communication is detected, the limping home mode is activated.

Meets AEC-Q100 Level 1 standard

Limp-home mode ensures system security

Single phase on each output or biphase on one output

Two independently controlled output voltages with an accuracy of 3%

With a built-in oscillator, it operates at a fixed frequency in the range of 125kHz to 700kHz

Programmable spread spectrum function

Gate switch stops when output overvoltage is detected

Programmable grid voltage

Low electromagnetic radiation (EME) and High Electromagnetic Immunity (EMI)

Slope compensation, tracking frequency and output voltage

Programmable control loop compensation

Output voltage monitoring

Supply voltage measurement

Read back the programmed voltage and frequency range via SPI

Node temperature is monitored by SPI
