The RN4678 is a fully certified Bluetooth Dual Mode (BR/EDR/LE) module that designers can use to easily add Classic Bluetooth and Bluetooth Smart functionality to their products.The RN4678 provides local connectivity for the Internet of Things (IoT), connecting products to smartphones and tablets for easy data transfer, control, and access to cloud applications.

This Bluetooth SIG-certified module provides a complete wireless solution with onboard Bluetooth stack, integrated antenna and global radio certification in a compact 22 x 12 x 2.4 mm surface-mount package. It supports GAP, SDP, SPP and GATT profiles. Data is transmitted over the Bluetooth link and data is sent/received in transparent UART mode, allowing easy integration with any processor or microcontroller with a UART interface. Configuration is easy via the UART's ASCII commands.
