The MCT8314Z0HRRWR offers a single-chip no-code sensor-equipped trapezoidal commutation device for customers who need to drive 12V to 24V brushed DC motors. The MCT8314Z0HRRWR integrates three 1/2 H Bridges, featuring an absolute maximum voltage of 40V and a low RDS(ON) of 575mΩ (a combination of high and low sides), providing high-power driving capabilities. The integrated current limiting function can limit the motor current under start-up or high-load conditions without the need for external detection resistors. The integrated 5V LDO can generate the necessary voltage rails for the device and power the external circuits.
The MCT8314Z0HRRWR can achieve sensor-equipped trapezoidal control in a fixed-function state machine, thus enabling brushless DC motors to rotate without an external microcontroller. The MCT8314Z0HRRWR device integrates three analog Hall comparators for position detection, enabling control of sensor-equipped trapezoidal BLDC motors. This control scheme is highly configurable and can be configured through hardware pins or register Settings, covering a range from motor current limiting behavior to fault response. The speed can be controlled through PWM input.
