Overview
The MAX17509ATJ integrates two 3A internal switching step-down regulators with programmable features. The MAX17509ATJ can be configured as either two independent single-phase 3A power supplies or a single two-phase output 6A power supply. The MAX17509ATJ operates with an input of 4.5V to 16V, generating independently adjustable output voltages ranging from 0.904V to 3.782V and 4.756V to 5.048V, with a system accuracy of ±2%.
The MAX17509ATJ enables the selection of multiple programmable options by connecting resistors to configuration pins, thereby providing maximum flexibility for end users. The two main highlights of the MAX17509ATJ are the ability to self-configure compensation for any output voltage and set the LX switch node slew rate to reduce noise. In noise-sensitive applications, such as high-speed gigabit transceivers in FPgas, RF and audio, this unique slew rate control benefits. The MAX17509ATJ provides a SYNC input for synchronizing multiple devices with the system clock.
The MAX17509ATJ offers output overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) protection, as well as overcurrent (OC) and undercurrent (UC) protection, with an optional hiccup/lock option. The MAX17509ATJ operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and features temperature detection and shut-off functions for overheat (OT) protection. This device is packaged in a 32-pin 5mm x 5mm TQFN.
