Overview
The AMC1304L25DWR is a high-precision Δ-Σ (ΔΣ) modulator that isolates the output and input circuits through a capacitive double isolation gate with high magnetic field immunity. According to DIN V VDE V 0884-10, UL1577 and CSA standards, this isolation barrier has been certified to provide enhanced isolation up to 7000 V peak. When used in conjunction with an isolated power supply, the AMC1304L25DWR can prevent noise currents from common-mode high-voltage lines from entering the local system ground, thereby interfering with or damaging low-voltage circuits.
The input of AMC1304L25DWR has been optimized for direct connection to shunt resistors or other low-voltage level signal sources. With a unique ±50mV low input voltage range, the AMC1304L25DWR can significantly reduce power consumption through shunt, while offering excellent AC and DC performance. By using an appropriate digital filter (i.e., integrated into the TMS320F2807x or TMS320F2837x series) to extract the bit stream, the AMC1304L25DWR can achieve a 16-bit resolution with a dynamic range of 81dB (13.2 ENOB) at a data rate of 78kSPS.
On the high side, the modulator is powered by an integrated low-dropout (LDO) regulator, and the AMC1304L25DWR supports an unregulated input voltage (LDOIN) ranging from 4V to 18V. The isolated digital interface is powered by a 3.3V or 5V power supply (DVDD).
The AMC1304L25DWR is packaged in a wide-body small form factor integrated circuit (SOIC)-16 (DW) package and operates within a temperature range of -40 °C to +125°C.
