The THS3491IDDAR is a 900MHz, 500mA high-power output current feedback amplifier whose high power output and low distortion feature make it widely used in communications, test equipment, instrumentation, and industrial control systems requiring high-precision amplification ‌.

The THS3491IDDAR mainly has the following characteristics:

Explanation

The THS3491IDDAR current feedback Amplifier (CFA) offers superior performance for applications that achieve the lowest distortion at high output power levels ranging from DC to over 100MHz (with a load of 100Ω). Although the rated gain of this current feedback design is 5V/V, it can maintain almost constant bandwidth and distortion over a wide gain range.


A slew rate of 8000V/µs can provide a 10V PP output for demanding loads at a low distortion and a frequency of 100MHz. The 900MHz, small-signal bandwidth can provide a low overshoot of less than 1.5% with a 10V step and a rise and fall time of less than 1.3ns. A peak output current drive value greater than 500mA can drive high-capacitance loads with a fast signal.


Compared with the traditional THS3091 or THS3095 options, the lower output margin of the THS3491IDDAR can provide a larger output swing at the same ±15V power supply.
