Overview

The ADCLK944BCPZ is an ultra-fast clock fan-out buffer, manufactured using ADI's proprietary XFCB3 silicon-germanium (SiGe) bipolar process. This device is designed for high-speed applications that require low jitter performance.


The ADCLK944BCPZ features one differential input with a center tap, differential, and 100 Ω on-chip termination resistor. It supports DC-coupled LVPECL, CML, and 3.3V CMOS (single-ended) inputs, as well as AC-coupled 1.8V CMOS, LVDS, and LVPECL inputs. The VREF pin can be used to provide bias for AC-coupled inputs.


The ADCLK944BCPZ features four full-swing emitter-coupled logic (ECL) output drivers. For the LVPECL (positive ECL) output, VCC can be biased to the positive power supply and VEE to ground. For ECL output, VCC can be biased to ground and VEE to the negative power supply.


The ECL output stage is designed to directly drive 800 mV at each terminal to a 50 Ω resistor terminal connected to VCC − 2 V, thereby obtaining a total differential output swing of 1.6 V.


The ADCLK944BCPZ is available in a 16-pin LFCSP package and has a rated operating temperature range of -40 °C to +85°C within the standard industrial temperature range.
