Instructions:

The TDP2004IRNQR DisplayPort 2.1 linear switch driver is a four-channel, low-power, high-performance linear repeater or switch driver that supports DisplayPort 2.1 up to 20Gbps.


The TDP2004 receiver uses a continuous time linear equalizer (CTLE) to provide a programmable high frequency boost. The equalizer can open the input eye, which is fully closed due to inter-symbol interference (ISI) caused by the interconnection medium such as PCB traces. The CTLE receiver is followed by a linear output driver. TDP2004's linear data path preserves and transmits preset signal characteristics. The device has high bandwidth, low inter-channel crosstalk, low additional jitter and very low return loss, so it can be used almost as passive element in the link, and has practical equalization function. DisplayPort link training is effectively implemented with a linear transfer driver that becomes part of the passive channel between the source Tx and the receiver Rx. This link training protocol is highly transparent, enabling excellent electrical links and the lowest possible latency. The data path of the device uses an internal regulated power supply rail to highly suppress various power supply noise on the board. The TDP2004 features low AC and DC gain variations to provide consistent equalization across a variety of platform deployments.
